It's That Time Again!
Mayuko has reached 3000 comments! So I'm opening up a Relationship Meme for her. Essay requests, Headcanon questions, Top 5 lists or other selections from the Question or Anything Goes meme are valid as well!
Question Meme!
Re: Question Meme!
Her personal thoughts are more martial- she would love to be a combatant here, able to defend herself in camp, but she's powerless! Getting a Pokemon, and a strong one at that, means she can take challenges with the best of them. Winning her match against Allen Walker was exhilarating! She would love to have more opportunities to battle. >D
On Donphan himself, Mayu is very fond of him! He's the hardy type, so he's tough, and a bit bossy, but that's nothing she can't handle. Keeping him fed is a challenge, and he does not like the Pokeball. Even so, he is willing to follow Mayu's commands; he doesn't take crap from anything, yet tolerates Mayu's cat dozing on him. He's basically her tsundere soul animal! I figure she's going to let him go back to the Poke-savannah or wherever he came from after the week is up, but we'll see. :|d
How are Goofy and his Pokemon getting along?
Re: Question Meme!
Your thoughts on the ending of Fruits Basket? did you like it? Hate it? Thought everything wrapped up nicely or were there too many loose ends?
Re: Question Meme!
(I don't remember if I've asked this before) Short of leaving Camp, if that even crosses their minds, what is your characters' fondest wish?
Re: Question Meme!
Crow's wish might be to free from having to watch any more bad movies and to just be free to do whatever he wants in a world where everyone respects and admires him.
As for Goofy, his fondest wish would probably be to live amongst all of his friends, and his son of course, in some happy setting for the rest of his life.
Huckleberry most likely wouldn't want to wish for anything because he's already content with his life, but he might wish for a life of peace and tranquility while living in a nice little cabin for the rest of his life. And possibly a family.
What are Mayuko's thoughts on Akito and the plight of the Sohma family?
Re: Question Meme!
Let's do the second one first. Mayuko's opinion of the Sohma family dynamic has never been stellar. She's been witnessing instances of secrecy and abuse throughout her interactions with them. And she thought that the abuse was the core cause for the damaged personalities! But after learning about the curse here in camp, she realizes that the curse is the cause, and everything else is the effect! An important thing to note is that Mayu knows about the curse, but she doesn't know that it's breaking. Shigure didn't tell her, and she hasn't figured out that that's Tohru's purpose! So as far as she knows, it's permanent.
She views it as a tragic situation, and perilous! The most striking thing to her is the no hugging the opposite sex thing. It means no getting cuddles from an SO, or a friend, sure. But, if either is cursed, a child not receiving positive physical contact from a parent? I'm sure there are studies on how psychologically damaging that is! (Just thinking about IF THEY EVER GOT THAT FAR, Hatori w/daughters... yeah, it hurts Mayu in the kokoro.)
But even if Mayuko knew the curse was breaking... she would not take steps to break it herself. That's the problem with playing her as a Lawful type- they support The Way Things Are. She can speak out against injustice in front of her, but she's not interested in a revolution. In camp, as of now, so long as Akito does not bring harm to her students, then he can do whatever.
no subject
While there are negative feelings towards him, Mayuko does not feel... personally slighted by Akito. He did ruin Hatori and Kana's relationship; that produces the core of what animosity she feels towards him. And in camp, Hatori evicted Mayuko from his cabin for Akito's sake. I probably essayed on this, so I'll say Mayu knows Hatori made that decision, and he did it to protect both parties... but still feels upset on some level that her home got wrecked. :\
But neither of these is a personal affront! Meaning there is hope for... something positive. She's not even a blip on Akito's radar, it would be unjust to just hate him and leave it at that! I believe the two could, in camp at a later date or post-canon, get along? She does respect his position as Head of the family, they do have personality points in common. But... I don't think Mayu will ever view him as "family". She holds that much of a grudge for Kana.
Haaa, I hope that makes sense... shall we go with your characters and their view of family?
